The Human Longevity Project

The Human Longevity Project

The Human Longevity Project

Compared to what is currently possible for people to live, our lifespans are so short.

Many of us are not even close to living up to our full potential, and even if we do make it to our "later years," it will be a terribly unpleasant existence.

Today's elderly require assistance to walk, are always in pain, must take ten or more medicines each day to stay alive, and have severely impaired memories.

In fact, middle-aged adults state in studies that they are afraid of growing older due to all the issues listed above and more.

They also have a particular fear of dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease.

However, there are some populations all throughout the world that reject this way of life.

They live long, healthy lives and don't contract these illnesses or difficulties.

What do they keep hidden, and what lessons can we draw from them?

Recognizing that our society is contributing to the issue is the first step.

We have cut ourselves off from nature, packed ourselves into cities like insects, surrounded ourselves with pollution, and consume meals that are high in chemicals.

More scientists, doctors, therapists, nutritionists, and gyms are available per person in the USA than at any previous time or location in human history.

However, their population is the sickest it has ever been.

Here Are Some Facts:

  • 2 million new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the past year.
  • A chronic illness has been identified in 70% of persons.
  • The life expectancy has decreased by 2.2 years in the past two years.
  • In their lives, 47% of adults will have a mental illness.
  • They slept 7.9 hours per night 80 years ago, but now they only get 6.8.
  • Alzheimer's disease now affects 6 million Americans.
  • More than one-third of children in America are overweight or obese.
  • Since 1970, the percentage of overweight and obese kids has increased.
  • Emotional trauma is associated with 5 of the top 10 causes of death.
